BULEVAR FERROVIARIO EN BURGOS

La construcción de la variente exterior ferroviaria de la nueva línea de alta velocidad y el traslado de la nueva estación en el extremo noreste de la ciudad posibilitan la transformación de los actuales terrenos ferroviarios en un nuevo Bulevar que, unido a algunas vías existentes, conecta la ciudad de este a oeste, erigiéndose en un gran eje de transporte público. El Bulevar es un espacio verde urbano que penetra en los barrios adyacentes creando una atractiva fachada y mejorando la calidad del espacio público.

RAIL BOULEVARD IN BURGOS

Collaboration with Herzog & De Meuron Studio.
The construction of the external railway bypass for the new high speed line and the relocation of the new station to the northwest extreme of the city allow the transformation of the existing railway land into a new boulevard that, together with some existing pathways, connects the city from east to west, emerging as main axis for public transport. The Boulevard is a green urban space that penetrates into the adjoining neighbourhoods creating an atractive facade and improving the quality of public space.
